The City of Laconia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Economic and Housing Development Director to lead initiatives to foster sustainable economic growth and ensure safe and affordable housing within our community. This position will play a vital role in shaping the city’s economic landscape and addressing housing needs to enhance the overall quality of life for residents. The Director will work closely with government officials, community leaders, developers and various stakeholders to foster sustainable development.  

                                   Salary range: $74,729.41- $105,233.01

                                   (starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience)

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in urban planning, public or business administration, economics, or a closely related degree; five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal or non-profit economic development or as a high-performing executive working in business development; OR any combination of education or experience required for the job.
