The Town of Cumberland is hiring a full-time Equipment Operator. This position involves a combination of skilled and semi-skilled work within the Public Works Department.  The successful candidate must be able to drive and operate a truck with snowplow and wing, front-end loader with a bucket, and other miscellaneous road maintenance equipment. Must be extremely dependable and able to perform heavy physical labor and able to work in all weather conditions. Will be required to work other than normal working hours during storms and emergency events. Must possess a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.  Base pay is $25.29 per hour, but is negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and certifications per the Public Works Union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
