The Town of Readfield has an opening for a full-time General Services position in the Maintenance Department. Flexibility, combined with a willingness and ability to learn new job functions quickly are absolute necessities for this position. Well- developed time management, recordkeeping, and interpersonal communication abilities are essential. The position is responsible for assisting with the general maintenance of all Town buildings, grounds, cemeteries, equipment, and road infrastructure; performing janitorial work; and performing other duties as directed.

The successful applicant will have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaboratively with other staff, take initiative to identify and complete tasks, perform manual labor, organize a personal or team work schedule, communicate clearly and courteously with fellow employees and the general public, work a flexible schedule, supervise part-time workers and contractors, use and maintain tools and powered equipment used in various building and grounds maintenance tasks.  The successful applicant will be required to possess a current Maine Driver's License, with a clean driving record. Past municipal experience is preferred but not required.  This position offers competitive pay and exceptional benefits:
