The Town of Gray is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Light Equipment Operator/Truck Driver/Laborer in the Public Works Department. This role involves operating various non-heavy equipment such as backhoes, trucks, front-end loaders, and street sweepers, and performing all-season tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid Maine Class B driver’s license (minimum) and certifications for equipment operation
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in varying weather and terrain conditions, and flexible availability outside normal work hours
  • Must pass a background check, federal drug and alcohol test, and may require a physical agility or general physical exam
