The Lewiston Recreation Department needs  OUTDOOR LIFEGUARDS!

Not certified, but want to become a lifeguard? We cover all costs for Lifeguard Certification for new lifeguards!

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Department:    Recreation

Barg. Unit:       Non-Union

Status:             Seasonal (30-40 hours/week June-August)

Schedule:        Hours of work will be 9:00am – 5:00pm

Pay:                 $16.00 - $19.00 /hourly

Kennedy Park Pool will be open Tuesday through Saturday.

• Preference given to those with at least one (1) year lifeguarding experience.
• Must be able to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
• Maintain active surveillance of the pool area
• Know/review all emergency procedures, respond to emergencies appropriately and complete necessary related reports
• Perform routine equipment checks, check the pool area for hazardous conditions upon arrival and throughout shift
• Understand and effectively apply all rules and regulations, consistently exercises good judgement

Willing to train the right candidates!

MUST HAVE (and be able to maintain):

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and Basic First Aid
