The Town of Arundel has an opening for a full-time Driver/Laborer. This position holds a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and is responsible for the safe operation of light and heavy equipment. Primary duties for this position can be pretty physical and which will include: cutting brush, cluvert installation, mowing, road repairs, flagging, snow plowing and sanding of all town roads and town owned properties, shoveling snow and along with any other duties assigned. As a Driver/Laborer, you will be required to work in adverse weather conditions in sometimes stressful situations. During the winter and emergency events, the Driver/Laborer is expected to work long hours that can include some nights, weekends and holidays.
Employment is conditional, based on the successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening. As a CDL holder, you are subject to random drug and alcohol testing as described in the Town of Arundel Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.
Pay & Benefits
This is a full-time position with a starting hourly wage of $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
