The Town of Buxton is accepting applications for a full-time, Laborer/Equipment Operator in our Public Works Department. The duties will include assisting with maintenance of Town highways, lawn mowing, plowing snow and other general maintenance. The job requires some manual labor duties which include, lifting, shoveling, raking, operation of chainsaws and other small equipment, large trucks and other equipment as assigned by the Public Works Director, may include other duties as required. Experience with snow plowing, use of heavy equipment, and high school diploma or equivalent GED, and an active Maine Class B CDL is required. Class A preferred. Prior experience preferred. May train the right candidate for CDL. Applicants must have and maintain clean driving records. Base rate is $20.84-22.34 per hour.
