The Town of Kennebunk is accepting applications for seasonal Lifeguards for the 2025 summer season, Memorial Day through Labor Day. Lifeguards may finish the season early for school or other conflicts with advance notice. Uniforms and training will be provided. For more information about Kennebunk’s Lifeguard operations and/or to sign up for a tryout, please contact the Fire Rescue Department at (207) 604-1373.

 

Position Requirements

  • 16 years of age or older by March 31, 2025;
  • Ocean Guard/Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certification is required prior to opening day (candidates will be tested in Mid-April);
  • Prior experience is preferred but not required.

 

Pay

This is an hourly, non-exempt seasonal position with competitive wages. Starting pay is determined based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities and work experience. Lifeguards who work the entire season receive an additional end of year bonus of $250.
