The Maine Municipal Association is currently accepting resumes for the position of Staff Attorney in its Legal Services Department. Our Legal Services program provides legal assistance to member municipalities on a wide range of issues, with emphasis on telephone consultation and written opinions. Additional responsibilities of the position include presenting at training programs for municipal officials, preparation of manuals and other guidance materials, and occasional amicus curiae participation in appeals concerning issues of statewide concern.

Applicants must be currently admitted in good standing to the Maine Bar and demonstrate excellent research, writing and oral communication skills. Experience in municipal law, an understanding of local government, and the ability to work collaboratively are desirable.
