The Town of Kennebunk is accepting applications for seasonal Summer Kinder Camp Counselors for the summer camp program for children in Kindergarten. The positions work up to 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, mid-June to mid-August.
The Summer Kinder Camp Counselor’s primary responsibilities are the daily supervision of the children participating in the Kinder Camp program, assisting running activities, and promoting participant involvement in activities.
Position Requirements
- Experience supervising children desirable;
- Experience assisting with arts/sports/recreational programs.
- Degree in or current students enrolled in teaching, social work, arts, sport/sexercise science or other related field desirable;
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Pay
This is an hourly, non-exempt, seasonal position with a pay range of $15.50 – $18.50/hour. Starting pay is determined based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and work experience.
