Sanitary District Superintendent – Carrabassett Valley, ME

The Carrabassett Valley Sanitary District seeks applicants for the position of Superintendent.

This full-time salaried position reports directly to a governing Board of Trustees and is responsible for overseeing the administration of the Carrabassett Valley Sanitary District (CVSD) including:

• Operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility, pumping stations and 20+ miles of sewer main.
• Duties include the care of district-owned forest land and its forest management plan, the oversite of a contracted registered forester and all timber sales.

The applicant must possess a minimum of a Maine Grade III Wastewater Operator’s Certificate and have or obtain a valid State of Maine driver's license.

The district is seeking an individual with strong management and communication skills. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of annual & capital improvement budgets.

Word processing and spreadsheet use and developments skills are essential.
