Overview & Schedule
The Systems Administrator will perform duties to support the IT infrastructure of Knox County. Responsibilities include addressing cybersecurity threats, conducting risk assessments, analyze and recommend information technology solutions, systems maintenance, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
The schedule is Monday – Friday with ability to be on call, 24/7 for at least one to two weeks out of every month.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in computer technology, or the equivalent in education and closely-related work experience required.
- A minimum of three years supporting Information Technology Systems.
- Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment in following appropriate procedures and policies, and in prioritizing multiple tasks in available time.
Compensation
The starting hourly pay range is $27.08 - $31.73, depending on closely-related experience. The County provides an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including health insurance fully paid for the employee and 75% paid for dependents, paid vacation and sick leave, attractive retirement plan after 6 months of full-time employment, and other voluntary benefits.
