The Town of Fort Fairfield, Maine, is currently soliciting resumes for the position of Town Manager.  Fort Fairfield is a community of 3300, with a Council/Manager form of government, an annual budget of $4.8 million excluding schools, and 40 full-time and permanent part-time employees.  The Town Council is seeking an individual with personnel management experience, successful economic development experience, strong financial management and budgeting skills, and excellent communications skills.  The ideal candidate should be a creative problem solver, a team player, and demonstrate flexibility and openness in their role.

Candidates with at least five years of progressively responsible management experience are preferred. Municipal management experience and a degree in Public or Business Administration are also preferred; however, individuals with equivalent experience and education are encouraged to apply.
