The Town of Hampden is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time position to join our sewer team within the public works department.  This position assists the sewer superintendent with sewer and stormwater maintenance. Position will require skilled manual labor during maintenance of roads, storm drain, and sewer utilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction and maintenance of duplex pump stations, installation of sewer and stormwater piping and structures, as well as work occasional weekends and overtime when required.  Candidate should have a Class B driver’s license and have a tank vehicle operation endorsement or obtain one within 12 months at town expense. The successful candidate will also be expected to obtain a Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification at town expense.  The duties of this position are detail oriented and task specific relating to the maintenance of the town’s sewer pump stations. The position offers a set schedule (variable during winter and during on call scheduling), a competitive benefits package, and a pay range from $25.15 - $32.09/hour with overtime.
