The Town of Windham is seeking an individual to join our team at Public Works as a non CDL Truck Driver/Laborer.  The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the Town of Windham’s infrastructure.  As a Truck Driver/Laborer, you will have the opportunity to perform tasks such as street sweeping, ditching, drainage and culvert work, small paving projects and since we are in Maine, plowing snow.  This is a unionized department with opportunities to grow within it.  

We offer a 4-day work week and overtime(plowing).  We have 13 paid holidays a year.  We also offer health and dental insurance, short-term disability, clothing allowance, and an option for the Maine State Retirement System.  

For employees who have a CDL, the starting wages are 

Class B, $23.07/hr - $24.41/hr

​Class A, $23.57/hr - $24.94/hr

non CDL, $22.19/hr - $23.47/hr
