TRUCK DRIVER/LABORER

            The Town of Bucksport is seeking applicants for the position of truck driver/laborer with the Town Highway Department. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $21.93 per hour with annual cost of living as well as longevity increases.  The town offers health, life, retirement, and short term disability benefits as well as two weeks of vacation time to start and 8 hours of sick time per month.  with required overtime primarily in the winter season.  4 ten hour day work week April 1- Labor Day, 5 eight hour day work week remainder of the year.

            Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a Class 2 driver’s license and three years of experience in the operation of vehicles of at least 5 tons, and have a good driving record. A pre-employment physical and drug test paid for by the Town will be required for the chosen applicant to ensure that the applicant is capable of meeting the physical requirements of the job.
