Wells Ocean Rescue – Seasonal Lifeguard Position
Wells Ocean Rescue is seeking qualified individuals for the 2025 season.
Preseason training starts around June 16th, 2025.
Hourly Wage starting at $19.50 an hour depending on experience.
Wells Ocean Rescue lifeguards oversee thousands of beachgoers every year. They are responsible for maintaining order on the beach and in the water and anticipate any potential problems to keep the beach safe. Lifeguards perform first aid treatment, when necessary, and assist the public with information and other assistance, when possible. Vigilance is key in preventing injuries or drownings and Wells Ocean Rescue guards must always be attentive to their surroundings.

Qualifications for Employment
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- Pass a pre-employment physical examination
- Pass a swim and fitness test to include a one mile run in 8 minutes or less and a 550-yard swim in 10 minutes or less
Certifications
Certifications are not required prior to employment. Wells Ocean Rescue provides training per USLA guidelines yearly prior to the season
