The National Leagues of Cities is inviting municipal officials to take advantage of its Local Infrastructure Hub bootcamp program, which is designed to provide leaders from small and mid-sized communities with the tools necessary to access federal infrastructure funding.  Since implementing the program in 2022, they've provided technical assistance enabling communities to secure $300 million in federal grant funding.

In other words, the program works, and MMA encourages municipal officials to take advantage of the free technical assistance being offered.

The three-month training program provides municipal officials with the technical assistance necessary to navigate the grant application process and build a strong grant-specific application.  The bootcamp provides participants with a variety of coaching programs, including one-on-one sessions with subject matter experts and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

Participants are also provided with tools, including templates, workbooks, and example submissions, enabling municipalities to model approaches that have worked, rather than recreating the federal funding application wheel.

NLC is kicking off a new boot camp series the week of January 27.

Municipal officials interested in securing funding for street and rail safety projects; stormwater systems and wastewater treatment; or clean energy initiatives, including solar power, wind energy and efficiency upgrades must register for the program by January 22, 2025
