The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife is hosting two workshops tailored for municipal and state highway personnel, certified animal damage control agents, foresters, and wildlife biologists responsible for resolving roadside conflicts with beavers.  Presenters will share cost-effective, time-tested methods and devices to co-exist with beavers residing along Maine’s roads,  Each session will include both classroom and field instruction.  The first workshop will take place on Wednesday, September 18  at the National Park Service’s headquarters in Patten and the second on Wednesday, September 25 at the former Quimby Elementary School in Bingham.  Both sessions run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. While the program is free, pre-registration is required by emailing Charles Hulsey at charles.hulsey@maine.gov .
