Town of Limestone - Town Manager

The Town of Limestone, Maine is currently soliciting resumes from qualified applicants for the position of Town Manager. Limestone is a community of approximately 2,300, operates with a five member Board of Selectpersons elected on three year staggered terms, has an annual municipal budget of $1.6 million excluding schools, and 13 full-time and part-time employees. Limestone is an agricultural community and is home to the Maine School of Science and Math, Loring Commerce Centre, Loring Job Corps Centre and Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge.

The Board of Selectpersons is seeking an individual with demonstrated skills as a self-starter, strong communication skills, strong financial management and budgeting skills, personnel management and economic development. The successful Manager candidate must be a creative problem solver with the ability to develop employee team skills and work as a team member with a demonstrated record of collaboration and community engagement. 

Candidates should possess at least 3 years of responsible management experience. The Board of Selectpersons would prefer a candidate with municipal management experience and a degree in Public or Business Administration, however, individuals with equivalent experience and education are encouraged to apply.
