The Town and Village of Woodstock, Vermont, seek an innovative and experienced management professional to be the Municipal Manager for our vibrant community. Home to 3,000 residents and a national park, Woodstock is a year-round destination for visitors to the Green Mountains who enjoy skiing, biking, the arts, nature, and locally produced food and goods. The ideal candidate will prioritize growing Woodstock’s economic base and year-round population, encourage citizen participation in government, and support a high quality of life for all residents while leading the town and village into the future.
The municipal manager reports to the town’s five-member selectboard and the village’s five-member board of trustees and is responsible for daily operations of both municipalities. The manager directly supervises approximately 30 full- and part-time employees, administers a budget of $9 million, and oversees all financial, public works, public safety, personnel, economic development, and community matters for the town and village.

Salary range is $95,000 to $115,000, commensurate with experience and education, and includes an excellent benefits package. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and executive-level management experience, preferably in municipal government. The applicant should have or be quickly able to gain knowledge of municipal management practices and state and federal law provisions affecting municipalities.
