The Town of Eagle Lake is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Deputy Town Clerk
This is a full-time position and will be 40 hours per week, working under the general supervision of the Town Manager.
Duties include: The ideal candidate will receive all bills, prepare payments through a warrant system, and maintain files on all municipal accounts. Municipal experience is preferred but individuals with bookkeeping experience are encouraged to apply. This position will also handle a range of resident transactions. Most transactions are processed using Trio software and with the State of Maine MOSES and DAVE programs. Other responsibilities will include Secretary for all the Board of Selectmen monthly meetings, and providing customer service to the public in person, by phone, and email. This position will also fill in for the part-time Deputy Clerk when needed.
Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, supplemented by college level courses in accounting and finance with progressively responsible experience in the maintenance of complex accounting records; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include paid holidays, health insurance, vacation and sick time.
