Summer Camp/After School Program Coordinator- Town of Kennebunk


The Town of Kennebunk is accepting applications for the full-time position of Program Coordinator in the Parks & Recreation Division. The Program Coordinator is responsible for Summer Camp and After School programs. This position performs various work including, but not limited to, pre-program planning, facility preparation, day-to-day operations of the two programs, and direct supervision of the Assistant Camp Coordinators, Camp Counselors, and other support staff for these programs. The position also coordinates and plans Adult Education programs and works on other projects as assigned by the Parks and Recreation Director. The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm with occasional weekend and evening hours.


Position Requirements

Education and Experience: Four year college degree in Recreation, Business, or related discipline preferred; 3 year minimum experience working with and supervising children; Experience supervising staff preferred; Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain a CDL within a specified time period; A combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential job functions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $16.50-18/hour based on experience. The Town of Kennebunk offers a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement, paid time off, dental, vision, and other supplemental benefits.
