Full time, School Resource Officer

The Town of Dover-Foxcroft is seeking applicants for full-time school resource officer. Candidates must have completed the full time training academy. Applicants must not be under any probationary status.
Applicants will be expected to pass an extensive background investigation including polygraph, psychological exam and physical fitness standards. Work will be begin at the completion of a field training course by our department. (Blue pin candidates may be able to waive parts of this process based on part work performance.)
Applicants will be interviewed by school/town officials. Applicants will be expected to work a 40 hour, flex schedule to accommodate school needs and events.
Duties include but are not limited to enforcement of applicable state and local laws, proactive crime prevention patrol of the town streets, traffic control, and local ordinances.
Starting pay will be by the hour based on experience. Lateral entry exceptions will be granted upon documented work and experience history. All applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
