Tax Clerk, City of Ellsworth

The City of Ellsworth, Maine has an opening for a Tax Clerk.  Work experience should include familiarity in office procedures and some bookkeeping/accounting background. Duties include processing and collecting payments for real estate, personal property, and motor vehicle excise taxes; processing and collecting payments for utility and solid waste billings; daily cash up; and assists with the tax lien and foreclosure process.  Skills include knowledge of some bookkeeping and accounting procedures, the ability to maintain records and prepare reports, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
