The Maine Municipal Association’s Risk Management Services (RMS) department provides all services related to its Property & Casualty Pool and Workers Compensation Fund programs including underwriting, marketing, loss control, and claims management through its in-house staff of insurance professionals.
Presently, MMA’s Risk Management Services Department is accepting resumes for the position of Underwriting Assistant. In a full-time capacity, the successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative work for the Risk Management Services programs. Responsibilities include assisting the underwriting staff with program mailings, new business and renewal administrative procedures as well as, Workers Compensation payroll audits for assigned members.
The successful candidate we seek must possess excellent customer service, knowledge of all general office functions and procedures and strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel along with data base management is preferred. Must be detailed oriented. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required along with 1 -2 years’ work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be expected to work well amongst others within a congenial team-oriented environment.
