VITAL RECORDS CLERK

City Clerk – Part-Time - Schedule is Monday-Friday, 12:15 PM4:45 PM - Position involves complex and confidential duties issuing birth, marriage, and death certificates, fishing and hunting licenses, marriage licenses, dog licenses, while handling high volume of telephone calls and mail-in requests.  Applicant must be energetic, detail oriented, organized, customer friendly, computer literate and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks.  Must also have excellent written and oral communication skills.  Must be a U.S. citizen; must be able to climb a step ladder and retrieve heavy (up to 20 lbs.) volumes of records from vault; must be able to work with a diverse population, including language diversity; must be able to qualify as a Notary Public within 60 days of hire.  Full time hours, that may include evening and weekend work, are required during petition verification and elections.  Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal conviction background check.  Pay rate starting at $18.02/hour.
