ATHLETIC FACILITIES MAINTENANCE WORKER I
Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department – Athletic Facilities – 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm) - This is skilled and responsible work in the agricultural maintenance of City–owned athletic facilities that includes 40+ fields, over 94 acres and two synthetic turf stadiums. Requirements: Ability to safely operate a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment; ability to communicate both orally and in writing; ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions on agricultural input applications and record their effects; knowledge of ballfield maintenance, sports field regulations, turf care, landscaping and irrigation systems; ability to perform mathematical calculations and geometric layouts; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other City staff; ability and willingness to work mandatory overtime during the winter period; must possess physical strength and agility necessary to perform the essential functions of the job under exposure to varied climatic conditions. Must be able to work weekends, nights, and different shifts required by seasonal commitment. Must possess valid Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal conviction background check. Pay rate starting at $762.31/week.
