Engineering Internship

The City of Auburn is currently seeking candidates who are interested in a challenging and rewarding opportunity in assisting and learning the functions of the Engineering Division of the Auburn Public Works Department. Under close supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting active construction sites, documenting daily construction activities, inspecting stormwater outfalls, updating GIS plan file archives and other entry level engineering tasks as assigned.

The selected candidate will have working knowledge of roadway, bridge and other heavy civil construction practices. The individual must have computer proficiency and possess exceptional attention to detail with good written and communications skills. Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, enrolled in a major course of study in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and have a valid Class C driver’s license.

Hourly pay of $14/hr., 37.5 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Internship will run from Mid May through August 2021.
