The Town of Strong is currently accepting applications for the full-time position (minimum of 34 hours) of Tax Collector/Treasurer/Deputy Clerk. This position is a challenging and highly responsible position involving accounts payable and receivable, monthly bank reconciliations including trust accounts, payroll and benefits administration and reporting, assisting the public, registering vehicles, IF & W licensing, collecting town funds, budget preparation and other related tasks.
Attention to detail is important as a majority of the work is dictated by federal, state, and local laws/ordinances. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, ability to be bonded, and have experience in accounting. Experience with TRIO software, and Microsoft Word/Excel is a plus, but not required. Municipal experience preferred, but not required.
The rate of pay for this position is negotiable, based on experience and offers health/life insurance, paid vacation time, sick time, and paid holidays.
