Town of Livermore Falls - Full-Time Police Officer

The Town of Livermore Falls Police Department is accepting applications for the immediate opening of a Full-Time Police Officer. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Preference will be given to Full Time Criminal Justice Academy Graduates, Maine Law Enforcement Pre-Service Graduates, and military experience. 

Applicants that have not been certified as full time Law Enforcement from a basic police academy must meet age requirements as established by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and successfully pass a written test, physical agility test (MCJA standards), background investigation, psychological, polygraph and medical examinations. 

Starting pay is $19.45 to $21.47 per hr. depending on up to 5 years of prior service. Health insurance with Eye and Dental plan is offered to the employee along with sick time and vacation time. 

The Livermore Falls Police Department is made up of 6 full time officers and 15 reserve officers. The Town is located at the northern end of Androscoggin County and borders Jay at the southern end of Franklin County. The two towns share a consolidated school system with the Town of Livermore. The Jay and Livermore Falls Police Departments, and Fire Departments work closely together for mutual aid.
