Mapleton, Castle Hill, and Chapman Fire Engine RFP

The Mapleton, Castle Hill, and Chapman Fire Department is a tri-community department that provides fire, rescue, hazmat, and EMS protection to three rural communities in northern Maine. We protect 108 square miles and a combined population of 2,841 residents. We are also contracted with a neighboring unorganized township for fire suppression. The three communities entered into an inter-local agreement in 1992 to combine services for public works, fire, and town office staff. We operate out of one fire station and have a 25 member paid call fire department. The three rural communities are primarily farm, forestry and residential, and a small industrial park. We also provide mutual aid to three communities covering 188 sq. miles with a total population of 12,612 residents.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit formal proposals for the construction and delivery of a Pumper Apparatus with a crew cab to replace our current 1993 KME Pumper as specified in Section 5.

Bidders must submit three (3) copies of their proposal, in writing, to the Fire Chief in a sealed envelope. It  must be addressed as follows:
