Summer Day Camp Counselor - Town of Kennebunkport

The Town of Kennebunkport is accepting applications for the multiple Summer Day Camp Counselor positions. Do you love working with kids? Have loads of energy and stamina? Feel ready to take your group management skills to the next level in an amazingly fun summer job? Our summer camp positions are the keystone to success and have the greatest potential to impact campers’ summer experience. All positions require careful attention to the physical and emotional safety of each camper. We value having divergent thinkers who bring various experiences and viewpoints to the table.

Successful candidates will at least be working toward their high school diploma; higher education particularly in recreation, teaching, or childhood development is desirable. Candidates must be able to pass a background check. These temporary positions are 40 hours per week, lasting 8-10 weeks including training. You will have a set schedule that does not include evenings or weekends. The hourly rate for summer positions is between $13-14.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. As these are temporary positions, there are no benefits or paid holidays. Review of applications and scheduling of interviews will begin immediately.
