GENERAL INFORMATION:           Department:    Public Works

Division:          Water & Sewer

                                                            Barg. Unit:      Non-Union

Status:             Full-Time (40 hours/week); Seasonal.


SUMMARY: Seasonal Water and Sewer workers have a direct impact on the overall appearance and maintenance of all public areas within the City of Lewiston.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a High School Diploma, or equivalent. Valid Class C Maine Driver’s License in good standing, is required. Preference given to applicants with a valid Class B Maine Driver’s License. Experience with lawn mowing and/or landscaping is preferred, but will train the right candidate.


WORK ACTIVITIES: General maintenance and landscaping activities include: mowing, weed whacking, raking, shoveling, sidewalk sweeping, painting, planting, mulching, and weeding. May also operate a mechanical sidewalk sweeper, or assist with hydrant flushing. Additional duties as needed or assigned.
