The Town of Newfield is seeking to fill a position for
a part time Administrative Assistant to the Planning Board.
The successful candidate will serve as an initial point-of-contact for the public,
process applications and manage the Boards schedule.
Other tasks include preparing communications, maintaining files,
producing detailed records of board discussions and decisions.
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office, Excel,
internet, web page management and google docs are required.
Successful candidate will also demonstrate ability to be adaptable,
organized, able to multitask and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Part time 10-15 hours a month, available for evening meetings
Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2 years’ experience in in working with the public and with office computer software programs
Starting Pay Range $14.50- $18.00 dependent on experience
Working knowledge of Municipal functions is preferred.
Willing to train an enthusiastic and capable candidate.
