Opening:   Work responsibilities include the preparation and maintenance of all Selectmen records and other official municipal documents and ordinances, supervision of elections and election staff, registration of voters, issuance of various licenses and permits, recording various documents and vital statistics, providing clerical assistance to the Selectmen, and other tasks and duties as assigned. Work involves extensive public contact and customer services to obtain and provide information and records, issue of licenses and permits, etc. Must Show skill at bookkeeping, records maintenance, and report preparation. Work requires knowledge of modern office procedures, practices, and equipment, including the use of computers and software. Work is performed in accordance with the Town Charter, ordinances, and general law, and requires initiative, judgment, and ability to work effectively and independently with the public and other officials.

Prior experience in a municipal clerk’s office and experience with TRIO software is required. This is a part time position, 12-15 hours a week. There is a Deputy for day to day operations and customer service.
