Evening Facilities Supervisor

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
The Town of Scarborough’s Community Services Department is searching for a dedicated and responsible individual to join their team. Work involves direct facility and program supervision, program registration and considerable interaction with the public, screening and directing of calls, provide information on programing and facility operations. Organizing and setting up programs, light cleaning and disinfection of equipment/facility. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. This position is located at the Community Services Hub. The ideal candidate must have the ability to connect with various age groups, students through seniors. Required hours are between 2 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Fridays 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Flexibility and commitment are important.
Duties include: Monitoring activities; registering program participants; set-up and break-down for programming; ensuring constant safety and security of program participants; basic clerical work; completing written documentation and forms such as incident reports and deposits; close communication with the Program and Facility Managers and Program Coordinators and participating in all required meetings and trainings. Cover miscellaneous duties of co-workers as required.
Position requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have prior experience working in an office and/or recreational setting with considerable public interaction. First Aid/CPR or willingness to be trained. Ability to stay constantly alert, anticipate and prevent problems, deal with patrons in a positive manner. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all patrons and guests, as well as with Management and fellow coworkers. Must be able to work a set schedule, be dependable and reliable.
