911 Dispatcher

Oxford County is seeking qualified applications for the position of full-time 911 Dispatcher. The position involves substantial public contact, receiving incoming radio and phone calls, and entering information into the computer aided dispatch system. Individuals must be able to multitask with accurate typing and computer skills.

This facility handles multiple calls from different agencies which will need to be dispatched out simultaneously. Applicants must be able to remain calm and maintain composure and treat people with respect even under pressure in stressful situations. Individuals must possess the ability to consistently think clearly; act quickly; and calmly in a wide variety of situations.
