MAINTENANCE WORKER II-STREETS & SIDEWALKS

Public Works Department

Up to $2,500 Sign On Bonus Available -

The Department of Public Works seeks a semi-skilled candidate to work in our Streets & Sidewalks section.  Requirements:  Thorough knowledge of the functions and operating methods of a wide variety of construction equipment; ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely; ability to make minor repairs; good visual acuity for driving and physical strength, agility and stamina necessary to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and members of the public; valid Maine Class B driver’s license (must provide license number); must undergo a pre-employment medical exam and fitness assessment; must pass federally mandated drug test; must have and maintain a good driving record.  Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. 

Pay range starting at $811.20/week.
