RFP - Radio Bid Ogunquit Fire Department

Town of Ogunquit

Request for Proposal

Motorola APX8000XE Portable Radios

ISSUE: November 22, 2021                       RESPONSES DUE: December 06, 2021

Project background:

Current fire department radios lack interoperability and compliance with standards for fire service operations. The current portable radios have only one operating band (UHF) which creates a situation where our firefighters cannot communicate with our mutual aid partners and or our own police while operating at an incident. This project is the first step in improving interoperability with radio communications.

General Information:

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled “APX8000 Portable Radios” and must be received at the municipal office, P.O. Box 875, 23 School St, Ogunquit Maine 03907 by 12:00 P.M. on December 6, 2021, at which time they shall be publicly opened.

It is anticipated that the successful bidder will be chosen at a public meeting of the Select Board scheduled for December 14, 2021. The Select Board reserves the right to accept or reject all bids and to wave any bid deficiencies that they may deem to be in the best interest of the town. The town will notify the successful bidder within 20 days.

Bids may contain options and alternatives provided that any deviation from the minimum specifications is clearly stated.

Questions about these bid specifications can be directed to Fire Chief Russell Osgood, 207-646-5112 or firechief@townofogunquit.org
