City of Sanford - Part Time Custodian

Part-Time Custodian


The City of Sanford is accepting applications for a Part-Time position of Custodian for City Hall, City Hall Annex and other City owned public properties.   Applicants must have and maintain a valid State of Maine driver’s license.  Applicants must also possess a clean driving record. 


The successful applicant will be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance work performed inside and outside of City facilities.  Applicant must be capable of carrying out written and oral instructions as well as working independently.  Hours of work may vary.


The successful applicant must have working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment as well as working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.   They must also have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow workers, City officials and the general public.  Please refer to the job description for the essential functions and additional job requirements. 


The hourly rate for this position is $17.88 per hour.   This position may require additional hours of work in emergency situations.
