Town of Brunswick Parks & Recreation Working Foreman

The Parks & Recreation Department of the Town of Brunswick is seeking candidates for the position of Working Foreman.  Operating under general direction from the Parks and Facilities Manager and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing in a working supervisory capacity and leading work crews through the day-to-day maintenance and custodial activities of the Parks Division. Ensures the overall safety of the crew at assigned sites. Responsible for ensuring that all buildings, parks and athletic fields are safe and clean for use by the public and that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in compliance with all ordinances. Supervises crews, manages and assigns work crews and coordinates workflow when assigned.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; a driving record in good standing and past experience with building and turf/landscape maintenance.  This is a Union position of 40 hours per week. 

Candidates should be aware that several annual Department events will necessitate additional night and weekend hours. Additional work hours will be spent on snow removal as weather conditions dictate.

The starting hourly rate is $22.88 to $28.61 per hour. Town benefits include options for health, dental and/or life insurances; short-term disability, retirement plan choices, educational reimbursement, paid vacations, sick time and paid holidays/floaters.
