Description
The Town of Kennebunk’s Fire Rescue Department is seeking Per Diem Firefighter/EMT's, Advanced, and Paramedics. These per diem (not full-time) positions report directly to the Shift Captain/other Department members as directed. This is a skilled firefighting and emergency medical position. Work includes responding to a wide range of fire suppression, medical, and traumatic emergencies in a community of 44 square miles with a year round population of 12,000 that increases significantly in summer months. Essential duties and responsibilities include responding to a variety of emergency calls, operating department vehicles and equipment, and working in sometimes extreme and hazardous conditions all related to supporting the needs of the department and the community.

Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- State licensed EMT, EMT-A, or Paramedic.
- Firefighter I& II certification.
- National Incident Management System Training (IS 100, 200, and 700).
- AVOC/EVOC or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license without any serious infractions on the driving or criminal record.
Position Pay
Pay is based on EMS license level and fire certification.
Firefighter/EMT (w/ FFI certification): $22.11
Firefighter/EMT (w/ FFII certification) & Firefighter/EMT-A (w/ FFI certification): $23.14
Firefighter/EMT-A (w/ FFII certification) & Firefighter/Paramedic (w/ FFI certification): $24.17
Firefighter/Paramedic (w/ FFII certification): $25.21
