Police Officer - Full-Time - Newly Budgeted Position

The Town of Winthrop is seeking qualified, career-oriented and community minded individuals for the position of Police Officer. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, or meet state requirements of age 20, hold a valid Maine driver's license and at a minimum possess a high school diploma. The Town of Winthrop offers a competitive salary and benefit package commensurate with experience and education. We offer the Maine PERS 25 year/no age retirement plan 2C, take-home-cruiser program, college degree incentive where we offer 5% pay for an associate’s degree and 10% pay for a bachelor's degree. Pay range as of July 1, 2022 is $23.48 to $31.20 with lateral entry for Blue Pins. Basic candidates must successfully complete all phases of the hiring process, including a thorough background investigation, polygraph exam, psychological exam, MCJA physical fitness and health exam.
