The Phippsburg Fire Department is looking to fill two full-time Emergency Medical Technician position for a small, community-service oriented department.

 

The position will be between the days of Monday-Friday.  Scheduled days will to be determined by the Rescue Chief and the applicant.

 

Candidates must be 21 years old, possess a valid Maine driver’s license, possess a High School Diploma or GED, an intermediate or paramedic license with 3 years’ experience, and have no criminal history. EVOV or AVOC qualifications are needed, as are strong communication skills.   The rate of pay starts at $21.00 per hour, depending on license level, with increases based on performance.  Benefits include health insurance and Maine State Retirement.

 

Some job duties include coverage for the town, assist in the daily and weekly tasks of maintaining the ambulance and firehouse, maintain the logs and ambulances and assist the Fire Chief and Rescue Chief of their duties.


Preference given to applicants who have a fire background.

 

The Town of Phippsburg will provide all uniforms and equipment.
