Code Enforcement Officer/Licensed Plumbing Inspector

 

The Town of Millinocket is seeking applicants for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer/Licensed Plumbing Inspector. Experience is welcomed, not required. This position is responsible for upholding and enforcing the codes and ordinances for the Town of Millinocket as well as Maine State Statute.

 

The CEO is expected to carry out their individual responsibilities with initiative while confidently exercising sound problem-solving skills and professional judgement. The ability to communicate with citizens, co-workers, and town leaders effectively and respectfully is a must. The selected candidate must be certified as both CEO and LPI within 12 months of being hired. A working knowledge of Building Standards/Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code (MUBEC) is a plus. Computer fluency in the Microsoft Office Suite and ability to understand submitted project plans is required. This person will work closely with other Department Heads, as well as with the local Planning Board, sharing information and attending meetings. This individual must have a High School Diploma and hold a valid State of Maine Driver’s license.

 

Salary $50,000
