AIRPORT DEPUTY DIRECTOR ENGINEERING & FACILITIES
Aviation & Transportation Department – $1,500 Sign On Bonus Available - Relocation Available -
The Portland International Jetport is seeking a responsible senior manager for the position of Deputy Director Engineering and Facilities. This senior management position is directly involved in overseeing planning, design, maintenance and repair of the Jetport’s facilities and airfield including buildings, roadways, signage, aprons, taxiways, runways and grounds. Supervises the Engineering and Facilities Division staff of the Jetport. Provides project management and planning for department construction projects. Oversees design, bidding and construction of capital improvement projects. Coordinates and interacts with building committees, city departments, the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Transit Authority and other local, state and federal agencies as needed to accomplish department infrastructure and improvement projects.
Requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university with specialization in engineering and a minimum five years of Experience in managing facilities, design and construction professionals. Candidates should be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word software.
Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid State of Maine Class C driver’s license; must have and maintain a good driving record; successful completion of TSA Criminal Background Check in accordance with TSR Part 1542 to acquire and maintain an airport security badge.
Generous benefit package. Sign on bonus of $1,500 available. This is a salaried Non-Union position - Grade D62 - Salary range: $87,212 - $110,500/year.
