Town Clerk-Treasurer-Tax Collector

The Town of Searsmont is accepting applications for the combined full-time position of Town Clerk/Treasurer/Tax Collector.

Responsibilities include providing direct services to residents and customers, issuing licenses and registrations, conducting elections, record maintenance, management of town funds, preparation of financial and other reports, collecting taxes and fees, processing liens.  Copies of the full job descriptions are available at the Town office as well as our website:

The applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively, handle multiple priorities, and maintain a high standard of customer service.  Previous relevant municipal experience is preferred, including familiarity with TRIO and Microsoft office.  The applicant must also have a knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures and have the ability to be bonded.
