City of Hallowell - Public Works PW2 or PW3 Position Vacancy

The City of Hallowell (pop. 2,570) is accepting applications to fill one Public Works position at the PW 2 or PW3 level(depending on experience and qualifications).  The ideal candidate will have experience with road and storm drain construction and maintenance, snow plowing and heavy equipment operation/maintenance.  This person works under the overall supervision of the City Manager and under the daily operational supervision of the Public Works Supervisor. 

This is a full-time, hourly position of forty (40) hours per week, with frequent overtime depending on the season and weather events.  Starting wage is $18.79 per hour for the PW2 position and $17.09 for the PW3 position per union contract.  The position includes an attractive benefits package with health insurance; dental, vision, and life insurance; sick and vacation time; paid holidays; and matching contributions to the Maine Public Employees Retirement System or a separate 401K.
