Performs a variety of specialized and complex accounting tasks relating to the collection of City revenues, including real estate, personal property, sewer user fees, and other various types of municipal revenue. This position includes a high level of citizen-facing interaction and customer service, and requires managing multiple priorities. Assist the Tax Collector in the tax billing process, including the 30-day notices, lien processing, registry of deed searches, foreclosure process, abatement and supplemental tax processing and reconciling of sub-accounts to financial general ledger control accounts.
Municipal experience, particularly the areas of property/excise tax collection, treasurer and clerk work, preferred.
